Mr. Md. Ashraful Hassan has been associated with the Grameen Group for over 40 years and currently serves as the Chairman of Grameen Group. Additionally, he holds the positions of Executive Vice Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of several Grameen Organizations. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Hassan has significantly contributed to promoting and providing accessible telecommunication services in rural Bangladesh. He possesses extensive expertise in various industrial sectors, particularly in textiles and electronics, with a focus on resource- and energy-efficient production. Furthermore, he has substantial experience in industrial management, supply chain management, local and export markets, and the development of rural artists and artisan goods. Mr. Hassan also has comprehensive knowledge in construction engineering and is currently responsible for overseeing the establishment of most of the Grameen Group’s mega projects. Mr. Hassan began his career with Grameen Bank in 1984. During his 15-year tenure, he held various key positions, including Chief of the Engineering section, where he made significant contributions to the infrastructural development of Grameen Bank. Presently, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of several enterprises that play a vital role in renewable energy, healthcare, education, microcredit, food and nutrition, information and communication technology, manufacturing, entrepreneurship development, and employment generation.

Mr. ASM Nayeem is a founding Partner of ACNABIN Chartered Accountants. He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA of ICAB and ACA of ICAEW), and a fellow member of ACCA. During a career span of 45+ years, he has successfully established and led many innovative services. Mr. Nayeem is an Audit & Assurance partner, but also heavily engaged in consultancy and advisory work. Nayeem’s Client Services area includes Audit and Assurance, Internal Audit, Taxation Services, Financial Reporting, Transaction Services (Financial Due Diligence, Valuation), Business Advisory Services and Other Risk Advisory Services i.e. System Design and Implementation.

Md. Nazmul Islam is the Managing Director & Board of Director of Grameen Telecom, bringing with him a wealth of experience in finance, management, and corporate strategy. Since joining Grameen Telecom in 1997, Mr. Islam has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in various areas. His career trajectory within Grameen Telecom is a testament to his dedication and hard work, having risen through the ranks from an Officer in Finance and Accounts to his current position as Managing Director. Mr. Nazmul's academic background is rooted in accounting, holding an M. Com degree from the University of Dhaka. He has also made significant progress with the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Bangladesh (IIAB). In addition to his role at Grameen Telecom, Mr. Nazmul serves on the Board of Directors for Grameen Fund and Samadhan Services Ltd. He is also a General Body member of the Grameen Motsho O Poshu Shampad Foundation and the Grameen Krishi Foundation. These roles highlight his broader influence and commitment to various sectors within the Grameen family of organizations.

Mr. Sultan Ahmed Bhuiyan obtained his B. Com (Hons.) & M. Com with Major in Accounting from University of Dhaka in 1990. He is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (EN-1207). He is a founding member of Radhanagar High School, Debidwar, Cumilla. Presently, he is the Chief Financial Officer and Board Secretary of Grameen Telecom Trust, one of the largest social business initiatives of the Country. He is a Trustee Board Member of Grameen Mutual Fund One and Two. He has been reelected as Board Member of Grameen Capital Management Ltd. From 18th February 2025 to 17th February 2027, General Member of Grameen Trust and Grameen Motsho O Pashusampad Foundation. Previously he was Head of Treasury of Robi Axiata PLC a multinational mobile operator in Bangladesh. He Served First Finance Limited (FFL) as an Independent Director from 24th June, 2021 to 23th June 2024. He had been elected as Chairman of the Audit Committee of FFL from 16th September 2021 to 15 September 2024. He Served Grameen Capital Management Ltd. as a Board Member from 29th October 2019 to 28th October 2021.

Abdus Sattar , FCA, is currently serving as the Acting Managing Director of Grameen Shakti, where he has been a key leader in advancing sustainable energy solutions. Prior to this role, he served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer for 12 years, bringing financial discipline and strategic vision to one of Bangladesh’s most impactful social enterprises. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), Mr. Sattar holds a Master’s degree in Accounting under Dhaka University. His career spans both multinational corporations, including Intertek, and leading Bangladeshi conglomerates, where he held senior finance leadership positions. Beyond Grameen Shakti, he contributes to the broader Grameen ecosystem as a CEO of G. Japan Sunpower Auto Ltd., Board Member of Grameen Fund, and committee member of FARAC under both Grameen Telecom and Grameen Fund. He is also a general member of Grameen Fisheries & Livestock and Grameen Telecom Trust, reflecting his deep involvement in social and community-driven initiatives. Actively engaged in social and cultural organizations, Mr. Sattar combines professional excellence with a strong commitment to social development, embodying the values of integrity, innovation, and service.

Executive management

Dr. Mohammad Jashim Uddin was appointed as the Managing Director of Grameen Fund on December 8, 2025. Prior to this role, he dedicated over three decades to Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), one of Bangladesh's leading development organizations. Since 2021, Dr. Jashim served as the Additional Managing Director of PKSF, where he played a pivotal role in steering key initiatives and strategic directions. He had previously held the position of Deputy Managing Director for Admin & Finance. Dr. Jashim joined PKSF in its formative years in 1991 and contributed significantly across various leadership positions. Dr. Jashim holds a PhD in Economics from the State University of Management in Moscow (1990) and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the People's Friendship University, Moscow (1987). He is an active participant in professional development programs both in Bangladesh and abroad, having contributed as both a participant and a resource person in numerous workshops and seminars. Dr. Jashim is a life member of the Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA) and the Soviet Alumni Association Bangladesh (SAAB), and a general member of The Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB). He is actively involved in various social and cultural organizations, contributing to community development in multiple spheres. He has authored numerous articles on poverty alleviation, youth entrepreneurship, vocational training, women's empowerment, and sustainable community development. In addition to his professional endeavors, Dr. Jashim has traveled extensively for both work and personal purposes, further enriching his global perspective on development challenges.
